Getting started

You start PicSorter just as you would start any Windows application -either double-click on its icon, or use the Start Run or Windows Program Manager File Run command. The name of the program to run is PicSorter.exe

Sort or view pictures

If you want to sort or view pictures, click Open pictures, and browse to the right folder. The pictures in the folder you selected will then be shown at the right of the screen. You can then click on one of the filename to sort/view that file or use the Next picture button, to view the next picture.

If you want to zoom in or out you can left- or right-click the picture. Or you can click the Tools-button to get the tools menu.

Right-click in the window where the Next-button are and you will get a popup-menu, where you can change the setting. If your pictures are very large it is best to choose Fit, but if the pictures you are to sort/view are small you can view them in Normal size.

Edit folder

When you are to sort your pictures you have to set up where to the pictures are to be moved/copied. You can do that under the Edit folder-button. Just write the folder name, and select a path where these pictures are to be moved/copied. Then click Save. You can set up 100 folders in each profile.

Click twice on the foldername if you want to edit a foldername or a path.

Remember that the Foldername you write will only disappear in PicSorter. The path is the path to a place on you computer. So Foldername is only a alias for a place on your computer.

Select a folder and click Delete if you want to remove a Folder. You will not remove the path, only the foldername which is shown in PicSorter.

Then click Close to return to the program.

Edit profiles

When you start you will have one profile as default. You can make one profile to each user or even many to each user. Click New if you want to make a new profile. Each profile can set up their own folders. So if you are to sort your familypictures you will get the folders which you have set up in the Family profile.

You can select a Profile and click Delete to remove a Profile and the folder which you had made under that profile.

To change profile click twice to the profile you want to change to. Or select the profile and click Change-button.

Then click Close to return to the program.

Tools

You can zoom in and out, and rotate the picture with the tools.

Settings

Under the settings you can select if you want to Copy the picture or Move it. If you still want the picture to lay at the place it laid, you choose Copy. But if you just want to have one of the picture and that is at a new location you choose Move.

If your pictures are very large it is best to choose Fit, but if the pictures you are to sort is small you can view them in Normal size.

Right-click in the window where the Next-button are and you will get a popup-menu, where you easy can change the setting.

You can also change the language. Just choose the language you want to use and click Close.
